I was born and raised in Venezuela and both my parents and grandfathers were physicians, so I knew my purpose in life since my early years.

I attended medical school at Universidad de Carabobo and obtained my Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree in 2009.

After that I moved to the Caribbean to work with the rural and underserved population of Margarita Island -- this place I like to call home, is a world renowned windsurfing and kitesurfing destination. It was here where my passion for sports and lifestyle medicine started.

After finishing my community work in the Caribbeanm in 2011, I moved to California to obtain my US M.D. certification in through the Educational Commision for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Then I worked at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) as a postdoctoral research fellow in minimally invasive surgery, and immediately after completed an internship in general surgery.

There, I had the opportunity to work with patients using medical cannabis as part of their treatments for the first time. I saw amazing results and improvement of their overall wellbeing which only increased my fascination with the medicinal properties of the plant.

Since I first started my journey I haven't stopped researching, traveling, and working hard to offer my patients the information and recommendations to take advantage this amazing plant.
